Electric airless diaphragm pumps

Electric airless diaphragm pumps are a type of airless pump that use electrical energy to move the diaphragm inside the pump, creating high pressure for applying paints, coatings and other materials. These pumps are notable for their versatility and ability to handle a wide variety of finishing materials. This is how electric airless diaphragm pumps work:

  1. Power Supply: Electric airless diaphragm pumps require an adequate power supply to operate. The electric motor generates the movement necessary to move the diaphragm inside the pump.
  2. Diaphragm: Inside the pump, there is a diaphragm that moves back and forth thanks to the movement of the electric motor (about 1400 times per minute). This diaphragm creates an alternating pressure inside the pump.
  3. Fluid Movement: The reciprocating movement of the diaphragm within the pump causes fluid movement. As the diaphragm moves backwards, it creates a negative pressure that draws fluid from the source, such as a reservoir.
  4. High Pressure: As the diaphragm moves forward, it creates positive pressure that pushes fluid through the system, including hose and airless gun, toward the spray tip.
  5. Valves: the 2 intake and compression valves regulate the passage of fluid from the diaphragm in order to obtain a uniform flow without pulsations.
  6. Spray Nozzle: The spray nozzle is a key component in airless application. The high pressure generated by the electric airless diaphragm pump atomizes the material through the nozzle, transforming it into small droplets for a uniform finish.
  7. Flow and Pressure Control: These pumps allow precise control of flow and pressure through the pressure regulator. This allows you to adjust the amount of material sprayed and the intensity of the pressure.
  8. Application on Various Surfaces: Electric airless diaphragm pumps can be used on a variety of surfaces, from walls and ceilings to furniture and other structures. They are versatile and suitable for both residential and commercial applications.
  9. Material Handling: These pumps can handle a variety of finishing materials, including paints, enamels, protective coatings, and high viscosity materials.
  10. Maintenance and Cleaning: It is important to clean and maintain electric airless diaphragm pumps to ensure correct operation and durability.

Electric airless diaphragm pumps offer the convenience of electric power and the ability to dispense paint and finishing materials at high pressure for a smooth, precise finish. As always, it is important to use airless pumps safely and to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
